Bruce Baggan

Founder
Bruce began his career working summers at International Paper, gaining hands-on experience both in the plant and later in the office. Upon graduating from college, he was hired as a facilities engineer, where he oversaw operational productivity, initiated capital projects, and managed the installation and justification of capital expenditures. He later advanced to the role of finishing superintendent, overseeing all post-printing operations.

Bruce continued his career at Barton Cotton in a similar capacity before joining Rockland Industries, where he successfully managed the complete relocation of their plant to the former International Paper facility. He then took on a role at Westinghouse as a facilities engineer, overseeing building management and company relocations.

A proud graduate of McDonogh School and the University of Baltimore, Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. Outside of his professional achievements, he is a talented bassist, performing in ensembles ranging from intimate jazz duos to 17-piece big bands. You might catch him playing brunch at Ze Mean Bean Café in Federal Hill or at other venues around town.

These days, Bruce enjoys retired life, spending summer weekends in Ocean City, Maryland, with his wife, children, and grandchildren. While he takes pride in watching his son, Chris, continue the North American Millwright Services legacy, he still lends a hand around the shop on the busiest days.

Chris Baggan

CEO / President

“He’s one of the only presidents who has done every aspect of what we do in the field himself.” –Zak Wilkinson, Senior Project Manager at NAMS.

Chris, the son of NAMS founder Bruce Baggan, has been part of the company since he was just 14 years old. He started by working summers and learning every aspect of the business from the ground up. After graduating in 1994 from Boys Latin School, where he played football and lacrosse, Chris joined NAMS full-time. That same year, he enrolled in welding classes and earned both his CDL and welding certifications. By 1996, he was leading job sites, gaining hands-on experience that would shape his approach to leadership today.

A proud Baltimore native, Chris’ roots run deep in the community. He’s a passionate supporter of local charities and, of course, a loyal Ravens fan. Now, as President, Chris leads with a strong commitment to fostering growth, prioritizing the success and development of the NAMS team, and building lasting client relationships. The remarkable tenure of our team members reflects his dedication to supporting the people who make our success possible.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys quality time with his wife, Nancy, and their daughter, Skylar. Nancy remains actively involved in the family business, keeping the NAMS legacy strong. If you’re looking for the family, you might find them at a Ravens game, in Ocean City MD, or at their house, hosting family and friends.
